1. About Citizen Ready

Citizen Ready (“citizenready.ca”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent study tool designed to help individuals prepare for the Canadian Citizenship Test. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

Important: Citizen Ready is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Government of Canada. We are a private, independently operated study aid.

2. Nature of the Service

We provide practice questions, simulation tests, flashcards, study guides, audio learning tools, and related educational content. Our service is a study aid only and:

• Does not guarantee specific test results or passing the Canadian Citizenship Test
• Does not provide immigration advice, legal advice, or citizenship application assistance
• Does not replace official study materials published by the Government of Canada
• Should not be relied upon as the sole source of preparation

3. Content & Intellectual Property

Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship is a publication of the Government of Canada, subject to Crown Copyright. Content from Discover Canada is reproduced for educational purposes under fair dealing provisions.

Practice questions, chapter briefs, flashcard text, audio scripts, and all other original content on citizenready.ca are the intellectual property of Citizen Ready and are protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our original content without written permission.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Portions of our content — including but not limited to practice questions, explanations, flashcard text, chapter summaries, audio narration, and video content — may have been created or assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) tools. While we review AI-generated content for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all AI-generated content is free from errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

Users should cross-reference critical information with the official Discover Canada study guide. In any discrepancy between our content and official Government of Canada publications, the official publications prevail.

5. User Accounts & Payments

Users may register on the site to access features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

Premium access is available through a one-time payment processed securely by Stripe, Inc. Purchases grant time-limited access (typically 30 days) to all premium features. All sales are final. Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. Contact sales@citizenready.ca for refund inquiries.

6. No Guarantee of Results

No study tool can guarantee test results. Your performance on the Canadian Citizenship Test depends on many factors beyond our control, including but not limited to your study habits, language proficiency, test-day conditions, and changes to test content by IRCC. We make no representations or warranties regarding your likelihood of passing the test.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Citizen Ready, its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the service
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in our content (including AI-generated content)
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any failure to pass the Canadian Citizenship Test
• Any other matter relating to the service

Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Privacy & Data

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process personal data as described therein. By using our service, you consent to such processing.

9. Third-Party Services & Trademarks

Our service integrates with third-party services including Stripe for payment processing, Google and Facebook for authentication, and other services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Stripe is a trademark of Stripe, Inc. Google and Chrome are trademarks of Google LLC. Facebook is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. Apple, Safari, iPhone, and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc. Discover Canada is a publication of the Government of Canada, subject to Crown Copyright. All other trademarks are property of their respective owners. Use of these names does not imply endorsement.

10. Changes to Content & Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice. The Canadian Citizenship Test content may change at any time as determined by IRCC; we endeavour to keep our content current but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
